The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is an upcoming smartphone that will launch in a few days in China. The 5G in the name should make it known that this is not the same Redmi Note 9 Pro sold in other countries. If that isn’t enough, images have also shown that the phone will come in a special retail box.
We know the phone will come in a special retail box thanks to a photo posted on Weibo by Lu Weibing, the General Manager of Redmi. The image shows the Redmi top executive and Du Hua, the GM of Lehua Entertainment, posing for a photograph together while holding a box. A close up of the box reveals it is for the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G.
The box is quite colorful and is a departure from the previous retail boxes we have seen Redmi use for its smartphones. It has a mix of multiple colors including yellow along with images of a cartoon character. Unfortunately, there are no specs visible on the box.
Tn official poster has revealed that the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will have four rear cameras arranged in a design identical to that of the Mi 10T Lite 5G. It has been reported that the primary camera on the phone is a 108MP sensor. The phone will also have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a display with a centered punch hole.
Just like the Mi 10T Lite, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 750G processor and be available in a configuration with 8GB of RAM. There should be a 6GB RAM version too and the phone will pack a 4820mAh battery capacity with support for 33W fast charging.
